Financing available on approved credit. We will help you find a monthly payment that fits — no pressure.
The short version
Financing available (on approved credit).
Financing available on approved credit. We will help you find a monthly payment that fits, and we walk you through your options at your free quote — no pressure, and nothing signed until you are comfortable.
Terms change from year to year, so we keep the details for the conversation instead of the web page. You get clear answers in plain language, and all the time you need to think about them.
What homeowners are really comparing
One number stops moving. The other one does not.
Nearly every decision here reduces to the same side-by-side: a fixed monthly payment on a system you own, set against a utility bill that has climbed every year and is not finished climbing.
That is the entire argument, and it is worth doing with your real usage rather than a regional average. Some houses come out clearly ahead. A few do not, and we will tell you when yours is one of them.
What you will need
Three things, and you probably already have them.
You own the home
A permanent system is attached to the property, so whoever signs needs to be on title. Renters are welcome to call — we just have to talk to the owner.
Reasonable credit
Approvals depend on credit. We can tell you early whether it is worth applying, and asking costs nothing at all.
Recent utility bills
Twelve months if you have them, or whatever you can find. They set the system size, and they set the comparison you are making.
Two shapes, not one
Own the system, or pay someone else for its output.
A loan — the system is yours
You borrow, the equipment belongs to you, and so do the manufacturer warranties. Maintenance is your responsibility, and anything that accrues to the owner of the system accrues to you.
A lease or PPA — a third party owns it
Another company owns the hardware on your house, and you pay either for the use of it or for the power it produces. Less responsibility on your side, less ownership, and different rules about who claims what.
Neither shape is automatically the right one. It depends on how long you plan to stay, whether you want the asset, and what you qualify for.
The federal credit
Where the 30% credit stands now.
The 30% federal tax credit for purchased home solar ended December 31, 2025. Some third-party-owned programs (lease or PPA) can still apply a federal credit through 2027 — ask us during your quote.
We are not tax advisors and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can do is tell you which programs are currently structured around that credit, and hand your CPA the paperwork they need.
Questions
The money questions, answered straight.
What size system do I need?
That comes out of your bills and your plans, not out of a chart. Twelve months of usage tells us the baseline; then we ask what is changing — a new EV, a home office, a kid moving back, air conditioning you avoid using because of what it costs. We size for the house you are about to have, not just the one on paper.
Will solar raise my property taxes?
No. California specifically excludes solar and battery storage from your home's assessed value, so adding a system does not push your property tax bill up.
What incentives can I count on where I live?
It depends entirely on which utility bills you, and the differences are large. Our incentives page breaks it down utility by utility, and during the quote we confirm what your exact address qualifies for. Incentives change and have eligibility rules. We confirm exactly what your home qualifies for during your free quote.
